I got into home decor sewing when my husband and I moved into our new home here in Washington, DC. I started with one pillow cover, and then made a few more, then made more for holiday gifts, and then a few more after that. I have also made a variety of home decor such as curtains, table runners, placemats, bench cushions, and chair covers. I do not use any sewing patterns. Everything is handcrafted and custom made.

All fabric prints are hand-picked based on my style and personal aesthetic. I love mod prints, bold colors, and geometric patterns.

My pillow covers are handmade. The piping is made from scratch, and the fabric color of the piping is matched to the colors of the main fabric print. The inside seams of the pillow covers are bound/sealed with fabric so that there are no loose threads or rough, frayed edges. This is entails tedious work but the finished product is of excellent quality. The pillow cover looks great both inside and outside.

I developed a technique in hand-painting fashion illustrations onto fabric. So I thought why not combine this with my handmade pillow covers. VERY SOON, I am going to launch my new line of home decor. Each will have a hand-painted fashion drawing on them. The illustrations on each pillow cover are one of a kind. No two will be alike. And the paints are colorfast and will hold up to washing.
